Your Dream Wedding Venue Bath UK

From the first moment Emma and Craig laid eyes on Wick Farm in Bath, they knew it was the magical place where they wanted to say their ‘I do’s.’ This Somerset gem, set within 37 acres of picturesque countryside, was the dream canvas for their special day. The 17th-century barn, lovingly restored, oozed charm and history, each nook and cranny telling its own tale. Our Somerset wedding photographer was excited to add another beautiful chapter to its story.

The Reception Room: A Marriage of Elegance and Rustic Charm

Walking into the reception room was like stepping into a meticulously curated rustic dreamscape. Vintage china and crisp white linens set the tone, while delicate wildflowers added bursts of colour, each detail seamlessly tying into the next. The soft glow of fairy lights wrapped around the exposed wooden beams gave the room a warm and welcoming feel, a scene any wedding photographer would be thrilled to capture.

The Wedding Party Arrives

The arrival of the wedding party marked the true beginning of the celebrations. The laughter and anticipation that filled the air were contagious, spreading a wave of excitement amongst all those present. As the Somerset wedding photographer, I revelled in these moments, capturing the candid expressions and unfiltered joy.

Bridal Preparation: The Transformation of a Lifetime

Tucked away in the tranquil farmhouse, Emma began her bridal transformation. Friends and family surrounded her, their chatter and shared excitement adding to the air of anticipation. The highlight of course was when she slipped into her wedding gown, a moment filled with a mix of joy, excitement, and maybe a few happy tears. The intimacy of these moments encapsulated the essence of natural wedding photography.

Getting Ready at Wick Farm Bath

Every wedding day starts with the process of getting ready and Emma’s bridal preparation was nothing short of an event in itself. Ensconced in the elegant rooms of Wick Farm, with her nearest and dearest, the atmosphere was abuzz with excitement, laughter and a touch of nostalgia. Emma was stunning in her gown, a piece of art in itself, which you can learn more about here. Our wedding photographer was there to capture every fleeting emotion, every shared laugh, and the transformation of Emma into a breathtaking bride.

The Arrival of the Groom

Meanwhile, Craig, the soon-to-be groom, was not to be left behind. He arrived with his band of merry men, their camaraderie and joy echoing through the farm. Clad in a sharp suit, Craig was the epitome of a dashing groom, anxiously awaiting the moment he would see his bride.

The Moments Before the Ceremony

There’s an exquisite tension in the air before the ceremony begins; a mix of anticipation, excitement, and a hint of nervousness. Emma and Craig’s ceremony was no different. As the guests took their seats, the hush that settled was punctuated by the rustle of the breeze through the trees and the soft murmuring of the gathering.

The Exchange of Vows

As Emma walked down the aisle, the world seemed to stand still. All eyes were on her, but her eyes were only for Craig. Their vows were a heartfelt confession of their love, their promises to each other, witnessed by their loved ones and the timeless walls of Wick Farm. The ceremony, steeped in love and emotion, was a photographer’s dream, each moment telling a story more beautiful than the last.

The Ceremony: Where Two Hearts Become One

The barn hushed to silence as Emma made her grand entrance, every eye drawn to her radiant beauty. The ceremony was a heartfelt exchange of promises and rings, the love between Emma and Craig palpable to all in the room. It was an honour to capture the emotion and intensity of these moments through my lens, the cornerstone of any meaningful wedding photography.

Canapés, Photos, and Smiles in the Garden

Post-ceremony, guests delighted in a selection of delectable canapés, their palates teased with flavours that were as varied as they were delightful. Meanwhile, our newlyweds stole away to the beautiful gardens for their couple photos. Bathed in the soft light of the late afternoon, they shared tender moments that were beautifully captured by the wedding photographer.

A Feast to Remember: The Wedding Breakfast

As the sun began its descent, guests gathered for the wedding breakfast. The room was filled with the mouth-watering aroma of local Somerset fare, each dish a testament to the culinary delights of the region. The merry chatter and laughter that filled the room were beautifully documented by the Somerset wedding photographer, providing Emma and Craig with cherished memories of their loved ones enjoying their special day.

Speeches, The Cake, and The Dance: The Trinity of Joy

The speeches were a rollercoaster of emotions, weaving together humorous anecdotes and heartfelt tributes. This was followed by the cutting of the cake, a moment that held the room in a delicious suspense. And then, under the glow of twinkling lights, the newlyweds took to the floor for their first dance. The tenderness of their movements and the love in their eyes were perfectly encapsulated by the wedding photographer, a precious memory that they can hold onto forever.

A Sky Full of Magic: Fireworks to End the Day

As darkness enveloped the farm, the sky lit up with a dazzling array of fireworks. This final spectacle was the perfect end to a perfect day, a moment that was immortalised by our wedding photographer, wrapping up the beautiful story of Emma and Craig’s magical wedding at Wick Farm, Bath.
